Registered Massage Therapist at Propel Physiotherapy
Brian Thompson first realized he wanted to become a massage therapist while working as an automotive service technician. A lack of job satisfaction and a strong desire to help others live life to the fullest is what motivated him to pursue a career change.
He studied at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy by day while working as a security guard at night. He completed hospital and sports outreach programs, and training in perinatal massage. In 2009, he graduated as a registered massage therapist.
Brian has a special gift for treating sciatic issues. His clients say that he finds the spot that hurts, even before they know it hurts. He uses a mosaic of techniques like deep tissue massage, joint mobilization, lymphatic drainage, stretching, Swedish massage, and at-home exercises. The right combination helps relieve pain and prevent it from returning so that clients can return to their daily routine.

Brian splits his week between working at Propel Physiotherapy in Toronto, and living and working in a small town north of the city. He enjoys the city’s restaurants, bars and events, but equally appreciates times spent kayaking and hiking in the country.
Health care is constantly changing. Brian loves the challenge that comes with constantly learning and improving his skills and himself. He strives to expand his knowledge and training with continuing education classes and is also a certified Kinesio Taping® practitioner (CKTP).
Brian is an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario.
